The 1858 Charter Lecture 2019

This year The 1858 Charter Lecture 2019, is being delivered by Dr Rolph Payet, Lead Author of the IPCC reports which were awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2007.

‘Pushing Back on Plastics’

Dr Payet was Lead Author on the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change's reports which were awarded the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize in recognition of the panel's efforts to build up and disseminate greater knowledge about man-made climate change, and laying the foundations for the measures needed to counteract such change.

Dr Payet’s lecture will provide a cutting-edge insight into current research and developments on the environmental and ecological issues of plastics.
