Chancellor

Her Royal Highness, The Princess Royal is our Chancellor. Her role involves representing the University at a wide range of engagements each year. The Princess Royal has been Chancellor since 1981 and is the 10th person to hold the post since our foundation.

Vice-Chancellor

The principal officer of the University, responsible to the Board of Trustees for the organisation and conduct of the business of the University.

Pro Vice-Chancellor (Operations) and Deputy Chief Executive

The Pro Vice-Chancellor (Operations) and Deputy Chief Executive is responsible for supporting the Vice-Chancellor in the day-to-day running of the University. They are also responsible for operational planning and strategic leadership of the professional services, including diversification of income and further development of shared services.

Pro Vice-Chancellor (Research)

The Pro Vice-Chancellor (Research) and Dean and Chief Executive of the School of Advanced Study provides strategic leadership for research across the University, driving high-quality research performance and growth and engaging with the research landscape, as well as leading the world-renowned School of Advanced Study and its nine institutes, various projects, and academic initiatives.
